Vera Keller
Department Head and Professor of History at the University of Oregon
Vera Keller is the author of Knowledge and the Public Interest (Cambridge, 2015) and Interlopers (JHUP, 2023), over thirty articles, and two co-edited volumes, most recently on the history of collecting in learned societies of 17th and 18th-century Europe. She is currently completing a book, Curating the Enlightenment: Johann Daniel Major (1634-1693) and the Experimental Century. She is interested in the history of knowledge particularly as it relates to interest, doubt, ignorance, politics, and the public sphere.
